Single row angular contact ball bearings can only bear axial load in one direction, which will cause additional axial force when bearing radial load. And it can only limit the axial displacement of the shaft or housing in one direction. The contact angle of angular contact ball bearing is 40 degrees, so it can bear a large axial load. Angular contact ball bearing is a non separable design, with shoulders on both sides of the inner and outer rings varying in height. In order to improve the load capacity of the bearing, the shoulder on one side will be machined lower, so that the bearing can be loaded with more steel balls.

Double row angular contact ball bearings can withstand the combined radial and axial load and torque load dominated by larger radial load, and limit the axial displacement of both sides of the shaft. The inclinability between the inner and outer rings of double row angular contact ball bearings in components mainly used to limit the two-way axial displacement of the shaft and housing is limited. The allowable inclination angle depends on the internal clearance, bearing size, internal design of the bearing, and the forces and moments acting on the bearing. The maximum allowable inclination angle shall ensure that there will be no excessive additional stress in the bearing. If there is an inclination angle between the inner and outer rings of the bearing, the service life of the bearing will be affected, and the running accuracy of the bearing will be reduced, and the running noise will be increased. Double row angular contact ball bearings generally use nylon cages or brass solid cages. When installing double row angular contact ball bearings, it should be noted that although the bearing can bear two-way axial load, if there is a ball mounting notch on one side, it should be noted that the main axial load should not pass through the notch on the side of the groove. When the bearing is used, it shall be noted that the raceway on the side without the ball mounting notch shall bear the main load.
